Skunk Get Well Card

Skunk Get Well Card

I made this skunk get well card last week, I think it came out pretty cute. I like skunks, I think they’re cute (not the smell, of course).  One time we had a young skunk and two young raccoon’s and their Mom under the bird feeder eating, they didn’t seem to bother each other and they stayed for quite awhile.

I finally joined the Pazzle Craft Room. I had a free 6 months membership when I bought my Pazzle, so I’ve been busy downloading cutting files.

Baby Easel Card

Baby Easel Card

I made my first easel card with the help of http://www.splitcoaststampers.com She has a great you tube video and written directions for making these easel cards, plus directions for different sizes.

I added this “Babies Don’t Keep” poem to the card.  My Mom saw this poem years ago in the pediatrician’s office and I’ve always wanted to make something with it.

I have both of these girl and boy easel cards for sale on my Etsy shop.

World Card Making Day

World Card Making Day

Today, October 1st, is World Card Making Day, be sure to make a card and send it to somebody who could use some cheering up. Check out their website at http://www.worldcardmakingday.com for inspiration and to enter a great contest.

I have been making cards from my scraps and what fun is that. It’s amazing to me how many cards you can get from scraps.  This bunch is for Halloween.  Here’s the scraps….

here’s the cards I made.

Glittered Spider Halloween Card

Glittered Spider Halloween Card

I must admit I don’t like spiders, too many legs and they move too fast.  The spider on this card I really like, he’s so sparkly.  I cut the spider with my Pazzles, and the spider design is from the Pazzle craft room.  I used black card stock for the spider, then glittered it with Martha Stewart black glitter.  The background is paper that looks like a spider web, then the “eek!” I cut with my Pazzles and glittered that with orange glitter.  On the inside of the card, I stamped “Happy Halloween!” with silver ink.

I hope this gives you ideas for your cards.

Winter Wonderland Card

Winter Wonderland Card

It’s that time again, we saw snowflakes this week, but it didn’t stay around long.  I made this card in honor of the upcoming season.  I started with blue card stock for the card and stamped snowflakes with silver ink.  Then I cut out the white shaped banner with my Pazzles and stamped “Winter Wonderland” in light blue.  On the inside, I put a light blue snowflake patterned paper so that I could write a message.  I think it came out pretty cute.

Christmas in Pink

Christmas in Pink

I must admit I LOVE pink, I always have since I was a little girl.  I made this gate fold card with pink card stock, and for the outside I cut this Christmas tree paper and used the corner punch on the corners. Then I put that on white card stock, then glued that to the left fold.  Then I took pink Velum (this is the first time I used it) and stamped “Christmas Greetings” in purple, glued that to white card stock (since velum is see through I had to put it on another paper, ask me how I know that).  When you’re using velum you have to use glue specifically for velum or the glue will show through.  I used glue dots made for velum and they worked perfectly.

For the inside of the card (below) I put striped paper on the sides and and this paper with words in the middle.

Gate fold cards are fun to make and if you need instructions check out videos on Youtube.

Snowflake Card in Blue

Snowflake Card in Blue

I made another gate fold card in blue this time.  I started with white card stock for the card, then cut out a snowflake with my Pazzles machine.  I used snowflake paper on the sides, then stamped the snowflake with blue ink, then glued it to the left fold.

On the inside of the card, I used this light blue paper with winter words on it, and blue striped paper on the sides.

I’m not ready for snow, but I think this card came out great.  For instructions on gate fold cards check out Youtube, they have some great videos for different card ideas.

Stocking Ornament Cards

Stocking Ornament Cards

I made these stocking ornament cards with the stocking cutting file from the Pazzles Craft Room.  They were so much fun to cut out and easy too.

I glued the parts together, then I decorated the stockings with ribbon, and stamped the white part with “Christmas Greetings” in red ink.  I then attached a ribbon so it can be hung on a tree or even in a window.

Then I made the card with different background papers, I cut a strip of paper that I embossed and glue the outsides only so I could slip the stocking in.

It’s a card with a gift.

Stained Glass Cards

Stained Glass Cards

I made these stained glass cards with my new Spectrum Noir Markers.  I used all light colors and they work great!  No smell and they blend beautifully.

I used the Art Nouveau Flowers Dingbat font and I got it free at
